Emo Carousel PTU Tutorial (CT)

This tutorial was written by me (BrianaMarie) on November 5, 2013. Any such resemblance to ANY other tutorial is purely coincidental & not purposeful. Please do not steal, alter or rip this tag/tut in any way.

Supplies you will need...

Scrap kit by Irish Princess Designs, "Emo Carousel".

You can purchase this kit at BOTH of her stores.

Tube of choice. I am using the artwork of Verymany.

You MUST obtain a license from PFD to use ANY of her tubes.

Mask of choice. I am using a checkerboard mask.

Font of choice. I am using "Turntablz BB"

OK, let's get started!

Open new 700 x 700 transparent background. 

(you may crop the tag to your liking at the end).

Create a new mask layer using Paper10.

Open Frame4. Re-size to 70%.

Rotate slightly to the left & place in the left-hand corner of the mask layer.

Add a black drop shadow of -3.

Open Paper2 & place behind frame layer.

Erase any part of the paper showing outside the frame.

*OPTIONAL*

Create grey scanlines (hex #808080) using the plugin, "Scanlines" from Richard Rosenman.

Use the following settings...

Spacing, 11

Thickness, 1

Luma, -255

Shift, 0

Noise, 0

Open your tube of choice. Add a close up of the tube layer in front of the frame layer.

Depending on the tube you have chosen, you may need to adjust the size.

Duplicate your frame layer & bring above the tube layer.

Erase any part of the frame covering the head.

(More or less depending on the tube you have chosen)

Erase any part of the tube showing outside the frame.

Apply film and filters, glamour (default settings).

*OPTIONAL*

Apply radiance using the plugin, "Radiance" from Xero.

Use the following settings...

Strangeness, 128

Charm, 50

Truth, 128

Beauty, 164

Merge all layers EXCEPT the mask layer.

Open your tube of choice (if not already open). Add a full body of the tube layer to the tag.

Depending on the tube you have chosen, you may need to adjust the size.

Apply film and filters. (same as above.)

If you added the radiance plugin, add it to your full body tube layer.

Apply black and white color.

Apply black drop shadow of -3.

Open any elements of your choosing. I used...

Cupcake1

EmoBunny

GumMachine

Horse

Knuckles

Lolly1

PinkPills

Skull1

Re-size each element to your liking.

Add a black drop shadow of -2 or +2 to all elements.

Merge all layers, add copyright, name and re-size if you wish.
